Overview
DCPD (Dicyclopentadiene)

Dicyclopentadiene (DCPD) is a reactive tricyclic diolefin obtained from the C5 fraction of steam cracking. It is a versatile monomer used in the production of polydicyclopentadiene (pDCPD) resins via ROMP, unsaturated polyester resins (UPR), hydrocarbon resins for adhesives and coatings, and ethylidene norbornene (ENB) for EPDM rubber. DCPD-based thermosets offer outstanding impact resistance, chemical resistance, and corrosion protection, making them ideal for large structural parts in automotive, marine, and infrastructure applications.
