Cyclopentane is a colorless, volatile liquid hydrocarbon widely adopted as a zero-ODP, zero-GWP blowing agent for rigid polyurethane and polyisocyanurate insulation foams, replacing ozone-depleting CFCs and HCFCs. It delivers excellent thermal insulation performance with low thermal conductivity and is also used as an industrial solvent in specialty applications.
