PU foam & appliance insulation
Cyclopentane as the blowing agent for rigid polyurethane foam in refrigerators, freezers and cold-storage panels. Zero ODP; used in place of HCFC blowing agents.
Pharma & fine-chemical synthesis
CPME as a hydrophobic ether solvent in place of THF, 2-MeTHF or MTBE. Cyclopentanone, cyclopentanol and cyclopentene as building blocks for APIs, fragrances and fine-chemical intermediates.
Agrochemicals
Pinacolone as a key intermediate for triazole fungicides. Tert-amyl alcohol as a raw material for pinacolone and, through it, triadimefon and triadimenol, and as a process solvent.
Resins, rubber & fuels
DCPD for unsaturated polyester resins and EPDM. Isoamylene for fuel additives and as a reaction intermediate.
