CPME
Cyclopentyl methyl ether (CPME) is a next-generation green solvent increasingly adopted by the pharmaceutical and fine chemical industries as a safer, more sustainable replacement for THF, diethyl ether, and MTBE. It offers excellent chemical stability, low peroxide formation tendency, narrow boiling range, and good water immiscibility for efficient extraction. CPME is compatible with a wide range of organometallic reagents including Grignard reactions and lithiation chemistry, making it a versatile solvent for API synthesis and process development.
